TECHNICAL OFFICIALS - FORMS and GUIDES
At Pukekohe Swimming Club we strongly encourage parents of siwmmers to train to be a timekeeper at swim meets, especially club nights. Without your help we would be unable to run our club nights. Once you have qualified as a timekeeper, it is possible to train as an IOT (Inspector of Turns) - again, without parents acting in this capacity, we would not be able to run any Swimming New Zealand ratified meets. Should you wish to further your qualifications, Pukekohe Swimming Club will assist you in becoming a regionally qualified Starter, Judge of Stroke and Referee. All nationally qualified officials from Pukekohe Swimming Club, started out as timekeepers, many of which are still assisting our club today, long after their own children have finished swimming. Please find below technical resources for Swimming NZ and FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation).
Pukekohe Swimming Club have the largest number of qualified swimming technical officials are often called upon to officiate at regional and national meets. Our officials also give back to the wider community by volunteering their time to officiate at Special Olympics swim meets for intellectually impaired swimmers.
