Commercial Vehicle Traders Ltd  Pukekohe Swimming Club are extremely grateful to Simon Lynch of Christchurch based company CVT Limited for their sponsorship of a new state of the art start block.  Simon’s generous sponsorship will go towards funds that will allow the Club to purchase six new FINA compliant start blocks incorporating the latest anti-skid technology as well as built in track start ledges.

An integral part of a swimming race is the start.  It makes a proportional difference to the swimmer’s times with the much-needed explosive push off from the adjustable track start ledge.

To have the same competition equipment available at training to practise their starts using the adjustable track start ledge is invaluable and it will certainly increase the performance of all our swimmers during swimming competitions.

Grassroots Trust  With their assistance in funding, we purchased an electronic starter system, a vital piece of equipment for competitions.  We can now provide professionalism at our meets and club nights for all swimmers and invited clubs to experience an electronic starting system.   In 2020 Grassroots Trust funded iPads to assist coaches with contact tracing and attendance to training.  These will also be an asset as a training tool to video swimmers and play back to them to increase improvement on technique.

In 2022 Grassroots Trust funded our club to purchase a replacement PA System.  This tool is invaluable as we use this at each club night to support all participating swimmers from our club and other clubs far and wide when competing in our club nights.

NZ Community Trust  With their assistance in funding, we purchased parachutes, bungee cords and heart rate monitors.    This equipment develops our swimmers fitness levels and creates professionalism in the pool by having access to quality training equipment which gives us a point of difference as a club within New Zealand.

The Southern Trust  With their assistance in funding, we purchased tempo trainers to develop our swimmers.  A great tool for threshold/pacing sets and efficiency sets.  They are used to focus on technique and efficiency and then to be used to hit our target stroke rates we need to hold or hit for certain paces for our key racing events.
